Wedding list

We've lived together for some time now, and over the course of the years we've managed to accumulate a lot of stuff. In fact, our rather, erm, 'compact' flat is almost full to bursting. For this reason, we are forgoing the more traditional wedding list. In its place, we would greatly appreciate a donation towards our honeymoon trip to Peru. Just a few of the things that your money could go towards include:
  • A night on the Peruvian tiles drinking Cusqueña (local Peruvian beer) or Pisco sours
  • A romantic table for two at a local resturant, eating ceviche (marinated fish) or roast guinea pig (to think we used to have them as pets)
  • Spur us on for our four-day, Machu Picchu trek with a donation towards hiking boots or sticking plasters for the many inevitable blisters
  • A relaxing night in a luxury(ish) hotel after four days of sleeping in a tent at high altitude
  • Treat us both to a stay in the town of Puno, by Lake Titicaca, 3,800 metres above sea level
  • An upgrade to first class with Iberia Airlines (or at least a bottle of champers to get us through cattle class)
  • A.N.Other of your choice...
The easiest way to do this will be via PayPal, using the button below:

If there's anything in particular that you'd like to sponsor, just click on 'Add special instructions to seller' to let us know. We'd really appreciate it if you did – it makes the gift that bit more significant. If you're sticking with the old school and shunning online payment, you can always drop us a cheque. (Luddite.) But please bear in mind the other option:

For those who are feeling a little philanthropic

Recent events haven't been kind to the world's economic situation, but in the big no-holds-barred cage fight that is the 2011 employment market in the UK, we're doing alright. Not quite to banker level, but that's OK – we're both quite fond of being able to sleep at night.

In many ways, our honeymoon is a great excuse for us to go and do something that we've both always wanted to do. Who knows how we'll cope with the altitude, but we've made our bed, and we're prepared to gasp in it. Any assistance that you can send in our direction will be greatly appreciated, but we'd also love to provide some support for people who haven't quite yet fallen on their feet in the way that we have.

The Helen Foundation is a charitable trust set up in honour of the lovely, and sadly missed, Helen Kirk. The Foundation aims to support and motivate young people in all branches of the arts in Teignbridge. If you would like to help support their aims, donation details are available on their website. They have also set up a JustGiving page, which will allow them to benefit from GiftAid.

Please accept our thanks, however you choose to participate.
